Housing Sardinia

Housing Sardinia is a complex built in Santa Teresa di Gallura in the province of Olbia-Tempio, a few kilometers from the very famous beaches of Porto Cervo. The 3-storey building is shaped on the two sides of a triangular plot. This configuration allows the building to draw a courtyard that offers privacy and shelter. The internal gallery system, in addition to suggesting greater interaction between people, makes the facade thicker, shielding naturaly sun and wind. This thickenness sometimes form larger areas, ambiguous space between inside and outside, perfect for bringing together all the inhabitant in a common area. The colors and the aesthetics of the complex recall the local construction systems used in Sardinia.
